OpenSolaris JeOS, (pronounced /ˈdʒuːs/ "juice"), is a reduced installation of the Sun-managed OpenSolaris distribution available as virtual machine (VM) images for a variety of system virtualization platforms. The images are as small as 139 MB and offer an alternative means to quickly deploy OpenSolaris on a platform of your choice. You can tailor your deployment by adding packages from network-based package repositories and performing any other application-specific configuration changes.
